Example 36GB mirror pool of 2 x 36GB disk devices

1.  detach 1st 36GB HDD

2.  replace the 36GB with 72GB HDD (for e.g.)

3.  attach the 1 x 72GB to the mirror pool

4.  wail till resilver completed

5.  detach 2nd 36GB

6.  replace the 36GB with 2nd 72GB HD

7.  attach the 2nd 72GB to the mirror pool

8.  zpool set autoexand=on poolname

autoexpand can also be set earlier, but will be effective only after all mirror disks have been increased to bigger capacity than previous mirror space.
