usage:  sysctl [-n] [-e] variable ...
        sysctl [-n] [-e] [-q] -w variable=value ...
        sysctl [-n] [-e] -a
        sysctl [-n] [-e] [-q] -p <file>   (default /etc/sysctl.conf)
        sysctl [-n] [-e] -A
 

e.g. to list all values currently available

sysctl -a
